My First Post
My First Post
Purpose of These Posts
Since this is my first post, I’d like to share how I want these posts and reports to be.
I want them to feel like a journal—somewhere I document my entire journey toward becoming a data engineer, which is my current goal.
So, I’ll be sharing everything I’m studying and learning along the way.
Portfolio Progress
Today, I was finishing up my portfolio.
I built it using:
- Pure JavaScript
- CSS
- HTML
- Node.js (on the backend)
I’ve also been diving into data structures because I believe they’re fundamental.
Even though I already have a solid grasp of programming, I realized there were still some core concepts I was missing.
Study Plan
That’s why I plan to start Harvard’s CS50 course soon to strengthen my foundations.
I’ll also complement that with Augusto Galego’s data structures course.
Learning Big O Notation
Right now, I’m learning about Big O Notation.
I’ve understood that it’s a way to measure an algorithm’s complexity—both in terms of execution time and memory usage.
Essentially, it helps you evaluate how well your code scales as input size increases.
O(n) O(n²)
Conclusion
And that’s it for now! Thanks for following along.
